A way of listening, relating, and remembering — not only an artistic object. Through dance, research, pedagogy, facilitation and cultural programming, Cinthia creates spaces where people can take risks, build confidence, belonging, and community as a resource.

From performances with CONTRA TIEMPO to public programming at cultural institutions and movement-based learning spaces, Cinthia's work takes shape wherever people gather to move, listen and imagine together.
AZUCAR
A full-ensemble performance with CONTRA TIEMPO Activist Dance Theatre, staged at The Ford in Los Angeles and ArtPower at UC San Diego.
Winter Works
A cast performance in Winter Works, a piece by choreographer and CONTRA-TIEMPO Artistic Director Ana Maria Alvarez, staged at UC San Diego.
Tardes de Baile @ The Cheech
A series of free, family-friendly Latin social dance workshops and socials co-curated, co-hosted and co-facilitated at the Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture, part of the Gluck Fellows Program of the Arts. Programming included Rueda de Casino, Salsa Musicality, Salsa History and Salsa Partnerwork workshops, alongside open social dancing.
Community
Where the practice lives
Tardes de Baile at The Cheech Marin Center. Pop-up socials with UCR Arts. Movement series at the Community Yoga Center. This is where the research and the stage give way to something simpler — people dancing with each other.
